This page sets out the firm's standard legal position. Engagement-specific terms are agreed in a separate instrument and, where the instrument is not returned, in the engagement letter itself.

Section 1
Terms of Engagement
Liminal Consultants Group ("LCG", "the firm", "we") provides professional advisory services to organizations and their authorized representatives. All engagements are governed by the firm's standard engagement letter, which is issued following a preliminary conversation and, where applicable, a scoping memorandum.
The engagement letter supersedes prior correspondence and forms the primary instrument of the relationship. Where the engagement letter is silent, the terms set out on this page apply. Where both are silent, the partnership will adopt a reasonable position in writing.
The firm reserves the right to decline, suspend, or conclude any engagement at its discretion. Fees accrued prior to conclusion are payable in full. Fees contingent on outcomes continue to accrue where the outcome was substantially advanced by the firm's work prior to conclusion.
Nothing in these terms constitutes a regulated investment recommendation, legal advice, or tax advice. The firm's work should be read alongside the advice of appropriately qualified specialists.
Section 2
Privacy
The firm processes personal data only insofar as necessary to operate its advisory practice, respond to enquiries, and meet its legal and regulatory obligations. Categories processed include contact details, correspondence, engagement records, and materials submitted in the course of a mandate.
The lawful bases for processing are: the performance of a contract, the legitimate interests of the firm in operating its practice, and the compliance obligations imposed on the firm by statute. Where consent is required, consent is sought separately.
Data is retained for the duration of the engagement and for a period thereafter commensurate with professional-indemnity and record-keeping requirements. Retention beyond that period is documented in the engagement file and reviewed annually by the partnership.
Data subjects may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing by writing to the address in Section 7. Requests are acknowledged on receipt and resolved within one calendar month, subject to the firm's verification of the requester's identity.
The firm does not sell personal data. Data is disclosed to third parties only where required by law, where necessary for the delivery of the engagement, or where the client has instructed the disclosure in writing.
Section 3
Intellectual Property
The firm's proprietary instruments — the Stakeholder Yield Matrix™, the Coherence Index™, and the Engagement Capture Protocol™ — together with all associated methodologies, templates, and published working papers, remain the intellectual property of LCG Advisory LLP.
Clients receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the firm's deliverables for the internal purposes of the engaging organization. Redistribution, public disclosure, or commercial reuse is subject to separate written permission.
Where the firm's instruments are applied to client-specific data, the resulting analyses are jointly held: the underlying instrument remains the firm's; the analysis is the client's. Neither party asserts rights over the other's contribution.
The firm's published Insights archive is made available under a no-derivatives, attribution-required basis. Quotation for review, academic, and press purposes is permitted in the ordinary course.
Section 4
Limitations of Liability
The firm's liability arising from or in connection with an engagement is limited to the fees paid by the client in respect of that engagement, save where such limitation is not permitted by law.
The firm is not liable for indirect, consequential, or non-pecuniary loss; for loss of opportunity; for loss arising from acts, omissions, or communications attributable to parties not formally engaged by the client; or for outcomes whose proximate cause is determined, on reasonable inspection, to be self-realizing.
Nothing in these terms limits the firm's liability for fraud, wilful default, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Section 5
Compliance Statement
LCG Advisory LLP maintains a compliance programme proportionate to its size and the nature of its work. The programme is overseen by the firm's Chief Compliance Officer, whose responsibilities, remit, and standing directives are set out in full at the internal register reference LCG-CCO-2024-01 and made available to clients on request.
All staff are required to complete the firm's standing compliance attestation annually. Attestations are filed on Form XT-7 and retained for the period required by the applicable regulator, or such longer period as the partnership considers prudent.
The firm operates an anti-bribery, anti-money-laundering, and conflicts-of-interest framework consistent with the standards expected of a professional advisory practice. Reportable matters are escalated to the Managing Partner and, where a matter concerns the Managing Partner, to the rotating advisory council.
Certain of the firm's engagements, and certain of its stakeholders, are administered under arrangements historically referred to within the partnership as the Beneath. No provision of these terms shall be construed to alter those arrangements, or to require their documentation beyond what the partnership considers appropriate.
Section 7
